About Us

Not Just a Camp

Highlands Cambodia is also home to a Bible college and church planting ministry that is actively reaching, teaching, and training the youth of Cambodia. Highlands Bible College offers an opportunity for greater learning and preparation for life and ministry. The Church Planting Ministry takes the education received at the Bible college and puts it toward a practical use in everyday ministry. Darwin Mina, the camp director shared, “the reason I have so much passion now leading this ministry is because I came to know Christ through this ministry. I believe that there are young people out there whose lives can be changed through camp, just like mine.”

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for the pastors in the local churches who get to spiritually lead the campers who go home after making a decision for Christ at camp.
  • Pray for campers to continue to search for God’s will in their lives. For them to get involved in their local church and become a disciple who makes disciples.
  • Pray for the camp leaders and volunteers to continue to have opportunities to share the Gospel with students who are open to hearing it.

Our History

Highlands Cambodia is not just home to a youth camp but also a Bible college and a church planting ministry. Together they are actively reaching, teaching, and training the youth of Cambodia in developing and living active Christian ministry. Back in the year 2000 when The Rawlings Foundation camp in the Philippines was just beginning, Dr. John Rawlings began to dream about the exponential impact for the Kingdom that camps in multiple countries could have. Cambodia was one of the first camps to start after the Philippines. Highlands Cambodia has a long history of helping local churches and pastors in Cambodia reach their communities with the Gospel, usually starting by reaching the young people first when they attend a camp.

Camp Director

Meet the Camp Director

Darwin Mina has been serving as Director since 2017. Darwin is originally from the Philippines and came to know Jesus at a Rawlings Foundation camp in Iba Zambales, Philippines in 2007. After coming to know Christ at camp he then decided to volunteer and serve at the camp in the Philippines. He volunteered there from 2008-2017 when the opportunity arose for him to move to Cambodia and lead The Rawlings Foundation camp there. He shares that his love and passion for leading camps come from his story, coming to know the Lord at a camp and seeing the way it has changed his life. His goal is to see kids just like him in Cambodia come to know Christ and experience true life change. One of Darwin’s favorite things about working with the Rawlings Foundation is the ability to help equip local churches in the area and not ask for anything in return. He shares that there isn’t much that’s free still in our world today, but the camps and help they can offer to the local churches and pastors is truly free and a great benefit to them.

Testimonial

In 2019 Phal Pisey was a Buddist high school student who was invited by a friend to The Rawlings Foundation Camp in Cambodia. He attended camp with his friend and while there he heard the gospel for the first time. He realized that he needed Jesus in his life and there at camp he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. After that camp, Phal began serving at camp as a volunteer and grew in his walk with Christ. He later was baptized and is currently in his second year at “Highlands Bible College” where he is learning to study God’s Word and how to present it to others.
